"The strong features of the full blood type of Montauk are evident in the face of Marguerite Fowler La Porte. This photo of her was taken on the back porch of her home in Freetown, a hamlet in East Hampton to which the Indians were moved from Montauk in 1875.
Compare this photo of her to those taken when she was a girl for an interesting contrast. See Photos 4 and 11 in this Set. In Photo 13, Set 1 there is a very good front face photo of Mrs. La Porte."
